Prior to the start of the second half of the program, the audience will vote on which piece of music they would like to hear by Tchaikovsky, Dvorak, or Schoenberg. Founded in 1991, the Russian String Orchestra from Moscow is comprised of some of Russia’s finest young string players. Formerly known as the Chamber Orchestra Kremlin, the ensemble has carved a niche for itself under the creative baton of its founder and music director Misha Rachlevsky. About half of nearly 2,000 concerts the orchestra has performed to date have taken place in Moscow, the rest were played on tours in 25 countries in North and South America, Europe and the Far East.Tickets go on sale September 19. $6 for BYU-Idaho students, $12 for general public.
